I am a retired history teacher and currently an adjunct professor teaching history at a local college, but now devote most of my time to being a licensed New York City guide. Additionally, along with my husband, who is also a licensed tour guide, I have co-authored a book on New York City, have a local radio show about travel and leisure with a focus on New York City and its surroundings atnd write columns on New York for a variety of publications. Also, I have contributed to programs on the History Channel, the Travel Channel, ITV London, the BBC, German Television, French Television and the Japanese Animal Planet.
To date, my husband and I can offer 86 different tours of New York City and the local area which cover a wide range of neighborhoods and themes. Also, we offer lectures on New York City to groups of all ages, ranging from young children to senior citizens.
What started out as a hobby, has turned into a passion!
My husband and I offer 86 different tours centered around neighborhoods or themes covering all 5 boroughs and the suburbs. Our special tours include a Musical New York Tour featuring a Broadway actor signing their way through the City, several different food eating ours covering Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Westchester County, "Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder", "Women of New York", "Houses of Worship", several varieties of Ethnic New York tours and 13 different tours of New Jersey.
We will customize any tour to meet the needs of the participants and also have accessibility to vans for those who do not want to do walking tours, but prefer not using a large coach bus.
