Although I was born in New York, my family moved to the Midwest where I lived for 12 years. Upon graduating college, I moved back to New York. This has given me the benefit of being able to view this dynamic city from a non-native’s perspective. After hearing stories from people who had visited New York about how New Yorkers weren’t friendly or helpful to the uninitiated, I became a tourguide to help turn that image of New York City around. I’ve been a licensed NYC guide since 1986. I pride myself on making tours not only informative and interesting but FUN!!! My specialty is the borough of Manhattan, from Battery Park to Harlem.
I have a Master’s degree in Education and for 30 years worked in a school system as a social worker. I have a special place in my heart for student groups, and also immensely enjoy working with senior groups. I am an avid theater and movie buff, which I use in my tours. Whether you are interested in bus and/or walking tours of Manhattan, I can make your visit a memorable experience.
