About:

Hello and welcome to the city that never sleeps!

I’ve been living in this amazing city since the mid 80s, so I have a lot of stories and insights to share with you. Whether you’re interested in history, culture, art, or entertainment, New York has something for everyone.

I live by the Hudson River's edge and on the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail, and have a deep familiarity with various New York City neighborhoods, like Williamsburg in Brooklyn, Greenwich Village and the Lower East Side in Manhattan. And for the last decade, I have photographed, written about, and explored block by block, some of the most fascinating streets in New York City. Unique places where you can savor the food, enjoy walking the city streets, and witness the culture of this historic and creative city.

Whether you are looking for a classic or a customized immersive tour, or a long distance nature walk, I can tailor it to your preferences and interests. I can also provide you with a practical guide, tips, and recommendations on how to make the most of your stay in New York. Just ask!

I hope you will join me on a memorable and fun-filled walk of New York City. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Special Interests:

Architecture
I have a soft spot for the American Radiator Building and I never pass up a Carriage House. NYC’s architecture seamlessly blends historic charm with modern innovation, creating a skyline that’s both iconic and ever-evolving.
Folklore & Traditions
From alligators in the sewers to the spectacular Halloween Parade, NYC’s folklore and traditions weave a rich tapestry of stories and timeless customs that make discovering the city endlessly fascinating.
Food & Drink
Who doesn't LOVE to eat! NYC's food and drink scene is a melting pot of flavors, offering everything from street food to world-class dining. Here's a few things NYC is known for:

New York Pizza Slice
New York Cheesecake
New York–style Hot Dog
Bagel with Lox and Cream Cheese
Pastrami Sandwich
Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwich
Dim Sum
Egg Creme
Soft Pretezels
Black and White Cookies
Parks and Gardens
NYC's parks and gardens span over 30,000 acres, and I've got some top picks and adventures.
Street Art
Street art is an ever changing canvas that transforms the city's walls into a dynamic gallery of creativity and culture. Whenever I see a piece that moves me, I pause to savor it and then dig deep to learn more.
Theater
I spent my first twenty years in NYC studying and working in the theater; now I look for powerful narratives and unforgettable performances that inspire and transform.
